Could this be a sign? Coming out of the darkness And I’m hoping it was posted for me I’m looking to find an exit and I don’t wanna have to feel this again A cinching grip on me And the more that I struggle the tighter it gets There’s no victory Only incremental lessening of how much I’ve failed It Keeps Calling (pulling me under) It Keeps Calling (never recover) It Keeps Calling…me I’m walking the line, one clumsy step And it’s a hell of a long way down I’m frozen in time…that’s my life as I knew it And I won’t let it fade away Comin’ out of the depths, just one more breath See the light in the tunnel but just can’t reach it It Keeps Calling (pulling me under) It Keeps Calling (never recover) It Keeps Calling me One last taste and it’s over, tell myself one more lie Ain’t got what it takes to stay sober, a hunger that’s never satisfied I’m going in blind, holding faith in the hope That I can keep the temptations at bay I’m all out of time, it’s my last chance at freedom I’m either taking it now or I’m lost forever It Keeps Calling (pulling me under) It Keeps Calling (never recover) It Keeps Calling me

The rest of me, what’s underneath It’s always better safe than sorry–and all for good reason Locked in the cage I’ll set the stage and watch you searchin’ for the clues And I’m so carefully misleading In the darkness, I’m not heartless Trails that lead nowhere No you’ll never break me shake me loose I’ll be dead and buried before I let you in The best of me, you’ll never see But here’s the torch good night and good luck–‘cause you’re gonna need it At this stage in the game I just won’t be to blame Another soul that falls victim to heartache and shame So believe me, there’s no giving in now No confessing, keep on guessing Trails that lead nowhere No you’ll never break me shake me loose I’ll be dead and buried before I let you in No you’ll never break me shake me loose I’ll be dead and buried before I let you in Elusive, dodging, all your attempts in vain Avoiding closeness only keeps me sane You never stood a chance No you’ll never break me shake me loose I’ll be dead and buried before I let you in No you’ll never break me shake me loose I’ll be dead and buried before I let you, before I let you in

Told You So 03:55
When you've got no leg to stand on Blundering your way through space I will be there on the sidelines Waiting to watch you lose the race I'll be your disappointment Your one regret And don't say I never told you so We've all seen the plight of the straggler Left behind when he can't keep up So what's it like back there in the shadows? I bet now you don't fell so tough I'll be your disappointment Your one regret And don't say I never told you so It's been coming for so long For you to get what you deserve And I will be the one To watch you lose your nerve It's only pity that remains Such a sad and painful feeling Wishing that you could be brave The perfect storm you feared is bearing down No way to dodge that rising wave I'll be your disappointment Your one regret And don't say I never told you so Thorn in you side I'll be thorn in your side I'll be thorn in your side

For years I tried to hide and shunning all responsibility I never understood how unveiling your soul could reward and feel so good In misery, and self-pity It takes it toll and leaves you blind Malintention, and dissention Placing the burden on your mind I stand before you a changed man I can’t ignore the truth and Now I’ve got to make you understand I fell upon my dagger one too many times for you to bear A tragic failure of my introspection, bullshit and bold-faced lies No more abusing, I can’t without losing So little joy and so much pain Can’t be complacent, cause I’ll never face it Maybe you should get out while you still can I stand before you a changed man I can’t ignore the truth and Now I’ve got to make you understand Making you understand I’m doing the best I can Ain’t gonna turn back now I can no longer hide or shun any responsibility And now I understand how unveiling my soul is the way escape my pain The misery, and self-pity Won’t take its’ toll and leave me blind Can’t be complacent, or I’ll never face it Just free this burden from my mind I stand before you a changed man I can’t ignore the truth and Now I’ve got to make you understand

'64 Soldiers 03:35
You hear it in the streets, you hear it in the wind The sound of revolution coming back again The '64 soldiers and the ones before Meet a new generation, pounding on pavement, banging on doors And all indications, point to a change In the way that you see us, you will know our name And the modifications, you made to the game Are coming back on ya, we're here to to claim Speaking truth to power for the 99 Who won’t take this shit no more We ain’t going away Until we see the change we’re fighting for Rebel encampments, for the world to see The American pipe dream, just a fantasy Words they keep twisting, like the tongue of a snake Wealth consolidation, never get a fair shake It’s not like we’re asking, we’re taking back our right To a chance at a future, never give up the fight Pushing back against a system set up to make us fail A charging locomotive about to come off the rails Speaking truth to power gonna make a stand Like in 1964 Never giving in We won’t take this shit no more Surprise we’re not asleep as they counted on Rise of the truth that we mounted upon Dawn of their heads now wide awake The light that we give is what they try to take Pull back the mask, exposing the lies Boots to the ground cause we’ve opened our eyes And we won’t stop now, for our time is here Tear off the blinders and history made clear And we won’t stop now, for our time is here Speaking our truth to power gonna make a stand Like in 1964 Never giving in We won’t take this shit no more

I think I need a dose of comfortable normality If I can ever just let go Cause I been caught up in this web for an eternity Now honestly I just don’t know Digging upwards through the dirt and I’m reaching for the light It’s got to be real this time Lost between a gentle murmur and a desperate scream It’s got to be real this time, this time I think I caught a glimpse of land up ahead Lost out at sea within my mind It’s such a struggle to keep my bearings straight Why’s sanity so hard to find? Swimming closer to the surface and I’m gasping for a breath It’s got to be real this time Lost between a gentle murmur and a desperate scream It’s got to be real this time, this time It feels so calm here back in the fold Without my whole world spinning out of control When no walls are chasing me I don’t need to hide Now that the strength’s back by my side Slowly peeling off the layers and I’m committed to the fight It’s got to be real this time Lost between a gentle murmur and a desperate scream It’s got to be real this time It’s got to be real this time It’s got to be real this time, this time

Handle with care These contents are fragile and perishable The mind spins so fast, the fall is so slow How you play the game it’s always touch and go Getting dangerous, stay back from the ledge Sweaty finger on trigger and I've always pledged To fight this spiraling implosion I welcome it with a smile This pain only seems to grow I'm losing my grip on control Let me be The only way I’ve ever known No one took notice of the empty chair at the the table that night And no one took notice of all the lengths I’ve gone to stop this fight But what does it matter now anyway? The lives are all shattered now anyway So don’t try to follow me down And while it pains me to see the destruction left in my wake It’s a chance I’ll take This pain only seems to grow I'm losing my grip on control Let me be The only way I’ve ever known This pain only seems to grow I'm losing my grip on control Let me be The only way I’ve ever known I'm losing my grip on control

For Sure 03:03
There’s something in this change I’m feeling I’ve tried to catch a glimpse but there’s something fogging up the lens I’m seeing movement in the distance Rustling in the brush could it be a touch of what’s coming ‘Cause I need to know for sure I wanna see what’s coming I need to know for sure If being up front is what I’m good at, so you say Then how can I lead when I never know which way is forward? It’s so easy to say, “Just stay strong and have faith” But not if the faith is what’s holding you back And I don’t wanna be caught holding the smoking gun ‘Cause I need to know for sure I wanna see what’s coming I need to know for sure Ground under my feet and I’m running I need to know for sure Release, unwind No one ever told you this world would be kind Break free, from your grasp Never meant to be drowned in a world of confusion It’s all a question of conviction The only certainty is we’re all endin’ up in the ground We’ll be six feet under ‘Cause we’ll never know for sure We’ll never see what’s coming We’ll never know for sure Don’t waste time thinking you can run from it We’ll never know for sure We’ll never know for sure

Without Fear 03:51
Obey the routine and just stare straight ahead The terror level’s going from green to red No way to escape our destiny of doom So be the patriot and indulge and consume Keeping us safe or fulfilling your greed Ignore all of those who are truly in need Yeah you, point at somebody else When any kind of change will begin with yourself Don’t tell me the end is drawing near I’m gonna keep on living without fear All of your secrets, your torture your lies There’s no situation that justifies Taking advantage of sorrow and pain When you’re the only one who’s got something to gain So stand on your throne with a smirk like you do Knowing that there’s no one to answer to Never taking the fall, someone else is to blame Pretending that it’s all carried out in God’s name You tell me the end is drawing near I’m gonna keep on living without fear You say that we’re losing all that we hold dear No more living in your state of fear Gross negligence Blanket incompetence Here to take back what you stole Never giving you control Don’t tell me the end is drawing near No more living in your state of fear You say that we’re losing all that we hold dear Well I’m gonna keep on living without fear

When the powers that be create an environment where music and the arts are slowly and systematically shut out; when everyday people feel like it’s harder and harder to survive; when fear is used as a method of control–there’s a visceral and defiant response. 3 Star General is a band that embodies this sentiment; “pushing back against a system set up to make us fail…”

Newly formed in 2014, 3 Star General’s sound combines heavy riffs, singable melodies and guitar wizardry to create big, memorable performances both live and on their debut album, Because America. If Queens of the Stone Age, Tool, Muse, Rage and Against the Machine and The Stokes combined to make a record, it might sound something like this.

Frontman/guitarist Jesse Brewster approaches the mic and guitar with a vengeance alongside guitarist James DePrato, who weaves in distinct and original textures and tones, combining with Brewster to leave no prisoners in their wake. Ryan Low pounds out big, musical beats with Dark Kent holding down the low end. Together their goal is to grab a crowd by the throat and not let go until the set is through.
3 Star General - unapologetic rock for the 21st century.

Because America will be released on March 15th 2016, with an accompanying music video premiere for the first single, "It Keeps Calling".
